Q: How much are your wedding photography packages?
A: My wedding collections start at $2000 - I would love to discuss rates with you! Seeing as that no two weddings are alike, we will put together a custom package that suits exactly what your wedding requires.
Q: How far in advance should I book PVP to shoot my wedding?
A: I recommend at least eight to 18 months in advance; is your wedding sooner than that? Send me a note to see if I'm available!
Q: Do you offer engagement photography?
A: I do! This is one of my favorite ways to get to know my couples before their big day. I also offer bridal photography!
Q: Do you deliver every image you shoot?
A: No, we do not. We eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. We work hard to curate a beautiful collection of photographs that tell the story of your day. For example, because we shoot with low apertures, sometimes we take a few extra shots to make sure we have the perfect focus.
Q: Do you do destination weddings? What additional fees are associated with destination weddings?
A: Yes, yes, yes! PVP is based out of Austin, but we serve clients all around the world. Our destination wedding photography packages include the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations, and since we LOVE to travel, we offer discounts for select destinations!
Q: Have you shot at our wedding venue before?
A: I've shot at dozens of locations across the central Texas area! However, I LOVE shooting at new venues and seeing a location with fresh eyes is very valuable as well! I travel quite frequently for weddings so even if I have not been to your location before, I feel confident that I would do an excellent job capturing it. I would also be happy to visit your location with you prior to the wedding day, or if your wedding is out of town, I will arrive early the day before or day of to scout it to make sure I know where the best spots to shoot are!
Q: What types of weddings do you shoot?
A: All of them! Large, small, traditional Christian, Indian, Persian, Jewish, LGBTQ, non-religious - you name it! Your love story is special in its own way, it would be an honor to capture it.
Q: Do you ever work with another photographer as a second shooter?
A: Sometimes! I offer a second photographer to any package as an a la carte option. I'm confident in shooting weddings solo, but if you are having a large or logistically complicated wedding, it's a good idea to add a second photographer!
Q: Why do I need to feed my photographer?
A: PVP often spends the entire day with you and your wedding party - starting early in the morning through the end of the night. Because of this, we require meals to be provided for any coverage over five hours. We promise to be quick so we can get back to shooting once your guests are finished dining! If you choose not to provide a meal for us, we will take a one hour break at some point during your reception to have a meal.
Q: How long will it take to see my photos?
A: We will edit your bridal and engagement photos within one week of your photoshoot. Your wedding photos will be delivered between 4-6 weeks afterwards. I provide all my couple previews within 48 hours after the wedding so they have photos to share immediately with friends and family in the meantime!
Q: How will I receive my photos?
A: You will receive your high resolution, edited photo through a digital gallery where you will be able to download your images, order prints and share with loved ones!
Q: Do you offer discounts for my budget?
A: Our packages have been carefully curated and priced according to their value, so the short answer is "No." However, no two weddings are alike and as such, we would love to create a custom package that suits exactly what you need!
Q: I tend to feel awkward in front of the camera - will you help guide me during our photos?
A: Yes, of course! I understand that you might not have experience being photographed and I'm here to help. Through my easy shooting style and natural posing, I make sure that you look natural and lovely in your photos. Some people take a little longer to warm up, and in those cases I make sure that you feel comfortable and relaxed while we are shooting.
Q: We want you to capture our story! How do we reserve our date with you?
A: Yay! *Cue the confetti* Email us to see if PVP is available for your date! From there, we will set up a consultation (via Skype, Facetime or in-person in Austin, TX) and talk through your vision. To officially reserve your date, you will pay 40% of the package up front as a retainer (and sign a contract) and the remaining 60% one month before your day. To reserve your engagements or bridals, full payment is required at the time of booking.
